Photoshop is one of the most important tools today in the design industry. In the late 1980s, Thomas Knoll and John Knoll developed a pixel-imaging program — first called Display, then Image Pro, and finally Photoshop. They made a well-received presentation to Russell Brown at Adobe and then licensed Photoshop to Adobe in 1988. From then onwards, Photoshop started changing the way we view the world.Written by Stefano Virgilli Thursday, 14 January 2010 10:38
Filmcamp (www.filmcamp.sg) is an ad hoc unconference, born from the desire to share new ideas in, and learn about, the filmmaking industry in an open environment. If you'd like to present a talk/demo, participate as an attendee, or hand out wads of your hard earned cash to all of us at Filmcamp please click here to sign-up and tell us about yourself or your topic. It is a grass-root volunteer run event about filmmaking aimed to help participants, and emerging filmmakers, at any level, get their feet wet and learn about filmmaking in an open environment! When: 31 January 2010, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Where: Level 5, National Library, 100 Victoria Street, Singapore Speakers: We are psyched that Bill Grundfest, ‘Mad About You’ (via webcast); Lian Pek, producer of ‘Mad About English!’, and Terrence Masson ‘Star Wars’ (via webcast) will be speaking! More importantly, all participants are encouraged to make a presentation on that day - talk about their experience in filmmaking, teach, share, ask questions, dialogue with one another and make lots of noise and have fun!

Also we have Sayanee Basu sharing with us on using a free photoshop plugin called, "FiTS Liberator" to create beautiful cosmo imagings that Nasa used for their image processing for their astronomical images.
