When the news of Steve Job's death hit the headline yesterday, the focus both on and offline was on his work with Apple. This is understandable given the massive following of the iPhone and iPad but he was also involved in something else pretty amazing. Pixar. Without Steve Jobs, his purchase of Pixar and his willingness to let John Lassater go ahead with his idea of CGI movies, we wouldn't have Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille...the list goes on. Former Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, sadly passed away on Wednesday following a lengthy battle with cancer. Jobs, who was at the helm when Apple developed such iconic devices as the iPhone and iPad, is the godfather of mobile technology and remains an inspiration to us all. The impact Jobs made on the world has become more and more evident over the course of today as tributes and memorials pop up all over the web. Apple.com's homepage, Google's homepage and a multitude of tributes such as this show just how much Steve Job's work was appreciated. RIP.
