Dear members,
We hoped you have enjoyed our previous month's meeting's coverage during our session of Creative Sushi.
This month, we will again, have both Ivan and Stefano doing a mashup of their work to create a final creative work that would be released under Creative Commons.

7.00PM - A good workflow for creative writing and business/marketing by Sven Berg Ryen, Director of Maxus
Writing for the internet? We all need to write, and sometimes, we simply get stuck. There's writer's block, lack of proper words, lack of structure, etc... Proper workflows ensure you stay on track while writing. By setting the right target/call for action and focus.
7.20PM - GarageBand "Audio Unit" Feature by Ivan Chew
Ivan the Rambling Librarian will demonstrate how to use GarageBand "Audio Unit" feature to make pitch adjustments to the audio tracks. As with other Creative Sushi sessions, the tracks will be CC-licensed materials.
7.40PM - Animate that Solid by Stefano Virgilli, Adobe Master Instructor and Director of Lab School, Adobe Video Specialist.
Stefano will demo how to dynamically create fractal animation in
After Effects using plugins such as Pixel Polly and Ball Action
combined with expressions. Stefano will carry on Ivan's audio
production to complete the monthly Creative Sushi and license it under
Creative Commons

7.20PM - Part 1 - Video Remix by Stefano Virgilli, Adobe Video Specialist
AFTER EFFECTS Creating 3D titles - Duration 20 minutes
Stefano Virgilli, Adobe Master Instructor is going to showcase how to
take control of text in After Effects. As part of Creative Sushi
session, he will provide the final output to Ivan to create a music
for it. Feel free to contribute to the session, either providing the
phrases for the video... maybe from your poem.
7.40PM - Part 2 - Audio remix by Ivan Chew
For the next part of Creative Sushi, Ivan will create a music track,
using Stefano's Creative Commons (CC) licensed image as inspiration
and as a track cover. The completed music track will be released under
a CC license. In the 20-min demo, Ivan will use CC-licensed tracks
from ccMixter.org, and a free, open-source software (Audacity) to edit
and remix the audio. The software is available for Microsoft Windows,
GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and other operating systems (see:
audacity.sourceforge.net). Participants are welcome to attempt their
own Creative Sushi creation on the spot.

We hoped you have enjoyed last month meeting especially the Photoshop CS5 session by Stefano.
We're back with more for this month!
This month, we will introduce a new session called, "Creative Sushi". This 2 parts session, both Ivan and Stefano will do a mashup of their work to create a final creative work to be licenced under Creative Commons.
This is a session where "content" and "creativity" meet. You will see 2 speakers come together as attendees will learn and refine their creativity skills by doing remixing.
"A remix is an alternative version of a song, video, design concepts made from an original version creatively. "

Explore the usefulness of adjustment layers such as the Black & White Adjustment Layer.

Synopsis: There are many colors that you can use while creating a website. But
how many people do actually know if the color would show up on the browser?
Carlsson will take you to explore web colors with applications like Adobe Kuler
and how you could make use of different color combinations.

Synopsis: Shooting multiple exposures with Auto Exposure Bracketing using a DSLR
and processing with creative camera raw techniques using Bridge and
Photoshop's History brush tool.

Synopsis: It is said that the best camera is the one that you have with you. i.e. your phone camera. Let's look at some ways in which we can improve our phone camera pictures. We will look at ideas to take better phonecam pictures and also tools that help us enhance our phonecam picture once they are off our phones.
Synopsis: Have you always thought that creating and editing vectors in
Illustrator was a difficult task. Now, do not worry as Mark will be
demostrating and you will be witnessing how easy it is to create
vectors with "Live Trace" in Illustrator while still editing "Live"
with Photoshop simultaneously.
